About This Policy
X Run Coach is a running companion designed to help you train for races, log workouts, and track your performance. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the X Run Coach mobile application (the "App") and its companion website at marathon2249.com, how that information is used, and what choices you have. X Run Coach developed by eHealth Technologies ("we," "our," or "us") is responsible for the practices described here.
Your Rights and Choices
You are in control of your data. Here is what you can do at any time:
- Reset or opt out of personalized advertising by going to your device's Settings > Google > Ads
- Clear the App's stored data (including your anonymous identifier, cookies, and locally saved information) through your device's Settings > Apps > X Run Coach > Storage > Clear Data
- Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
- Contact us at [email protected] to request information about data we hold or to ask for its deletion
Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Information
When you use the App, the following information is collected automatically:
- Anonymous identifier. A unique, randomly generated identifier is created when you first open the App. It is stored on your device and helps us understand usage patterns. It is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal detail.
- Device language and region. We detect your device's language setting so we can display the App in your preferred language.
Advertising and Attribution
We use AppsFlyer, a third-party attribution service, to understand how users discover the App and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. When AppsFlyer is active, the following data is collected:
- Google Advertising ID. Your device's advertising identifier, used for attribution and analytics. You can reset this identifier or opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads.
- Attribution data. Information about how you arrived at the App — for example, whether you found it through a search, an advertisement, or a direct link. This includes the installation source and marketing campaign name, if applicable.
Your anonymous identifier is also shared with AppsFlyer. AppsFlyer collects additional device information (such as IP address, device model, and operating system version) as part of its standard operation. For full details, see the AppsFlyer Privacy Policy.
Built-in Browser
The App includes a built-in browser used to display the Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App. The built-in browser supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage as part of standard browser behavior. The built-in browser does not collect any additional data beyond what is described in the sections above. Any websites loaded in the built-in browser operate under their own privacy practices.
Support and Bug Reports
The App's Support page allows you to send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a support request, you may provide:
- Your name and email address
- A description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device's camera, or choose an existing file (such as a screenshot, image, or document) through your device's file picker
This information is submitted only when you choose to send a support request. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app.
Local Data Storage
The App stores your training plans, workout logs, race records, performance statistics, preferences, and settings locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers. You can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining the App's core functionality
- Displaying content in your preferred language
- Understanding how users discover the App and measuring marketing effectiveness
- Analyzing usage patterns to improve the App experience
- Responding to support requests you submit
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with the following third-party service, as described above:
- AppsFlyer — receives your advertising identifier, anonymous user identifier, and attribution data for marketing analytics. AppsFlyer Privacy Policy
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Data Retention
- Anonymous identifier — persists on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall.
- Google Advertising ID — managed by Google Play Services on your device. You can reset it at any time in your device settings.
- Cookies and local storage — follow standard browser expiration rules and persist until cleared by the website or when you clear the App's data.
- Local app data (training plans, workouts, races) — stored on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall.
- Support request data — retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, then deleted.
Data Security
We take appropriate technical measures to protect your information during transmission and storage. Some network connections within the App may use unencrypted HTTP, which means data sent over those connections could potentially be intercepted. We encourage you to use the App on trusted networks.
Children's Privacy
This App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
